"Wake Up" featuring Rachel Haden on this tour?
« on: June 29, 2006, 04:46:27 pm »
It just occured to me:

- Ozma is touring with The Rentals
- The Rentals currently feature Rachel Haden
- Ozma has a recorded song featuring Rachel Haden

Could this be a possibility on this tour?  I know they played it with her once in L.A. (if memory serves), so she might be up for it.

well Ryen apparently joined the Rentals onstage for something-or-another at the last show, so i'd say it's definitely in the realm of the possible.

I was actually wondering this too...  Part of me thinks it'd be totally ridiculous missed opportunity if they don't do it.  But the other part thinks "well, probably no one knows she sings on that song anyway."

I've actually NEVER been to a show when 2 bands somehow team up for a song or two--or a show with a "surprise guest" or anything.  I always thought that was really Samuel when it happened.  --Especially when it's like a huge act and a super huge surprise guest.

I hope they do some fun stuff like that.

The Rentals performed "I Just Threw Out The Love Of My Dreams" with Rachel on lead vocals of course...

nice. Ryen is apparently being 'borrowed' by the Rentals... he's going to Japan with them.

That is AWESOME.  Probably my favorite Weezer B-side ever, and my first exposure to any members of that dog.  I hope they play it when I see them.

At the Henry Fonda show
Rachel Haden did not join the band when they played "Wake Up"
(which is alright for me because I think Star does a great job singing it).

Ryen did join The Rentals for their set.

Rachel joined Ozma on stage for "Wake Up" tonite in Minneapolis.
She had to read from a sheet of lyrics while doing it.

Dan also did a synth solo during The Rentals set.
